Norse Atlantic Airways launches new routes from the UK, Sweden, and Norway to Thailand, enhancing access and aligning with TAT’s strategy to boost tourism and diversify markets.
Expansion of Air Routes to Thailand
On October 23, 2025, the Tourism Authority of Thailand announced the launch of five new direct routes by Norse Atlantic Airways. These routes enhance access to Bangkok and Phuket from the UK, Sweden, and Norway for the 2025/2026 winter season. This aligns with Thailand’s “Big Impact, Act Fast” policy, boosting international tourism and long-haul connectivity from Europe.
Strategic Growth in European Markets
Mrs. Chiravadee Khunsub of TAT highlights the new routes as a sign of growing confidence in Thailand as a top long-haul destination. This expansion increases travel options and affordability from the UK and Northern Europe, supporting TAT’s goals to diversify source markets and extend visitors’ stays, strengthening Thailand’s tourism sector.
Strengthening Global Connectivity
Norse Atlantic’s new services include flights from London, Manchester, Stockholm, and Oslo. Other airlines, such as Arkia Israeli Airlines and Air France, are also expanding routes to Thailand. These efforts reflect international carriers’ confidence in Thailand’s tourism potential, with strong growth observed in visitors from the UK and Sweden, marking Thailand as a key sustainable travel destination.
