Thailand’s Minister of Tourism announced 2025 as the “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year,” featuring significant events to attract tourists and support economic growth through enhanced infrastructure and visa processes.

At the World Travel Market 2024, Thailand’s Minister of Tourism, Sorawong Thienthong, announced 2025 will be the “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year.” This campaign aims to showcase Thailand through dynamic festivities and special privileges designed to entice global travelers.

Sorawong emphasized that the initiative is not just a celebration but an invitation to create unforgettable travel experiences. With events like the Amazing Thailand Countdown 2025, MotoGP races in February and March, and the famous Songkran Festival in April, the campaign seeks to boost year-round tourism.

To achieve a target of £75.55 billion (3.4 trillion Baht) in tourism revenue for 2025, Thailand is investing in infrastructure and improving visa processes, including the pan ASEAN common visa policy. The minister noted that the tourism sector is crucial for Thailand’s economy and community upliftment.
