The Department of Business Development reported that, during the first ten months of this year (January-October 2024), 251businesses invested in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), representing 32% of all foreign investors. Their investment value was 45,739 million baht (US$1.32 billion), representing 28% of the total investment value. There were 141 more businesses than in the same period last year, an increase of 128%.

Prominent investors in the EEC were from Japan (86 firms, with a value of US$468 million), China (59 firms, US$232 million), Hong Kong (18 firms, US$151 million), and others (88 firms, US$471 million).
