The 2026 edition brings a star-studded international field to the tournament’s signature intercontinental team format. The World Team features two-time Grand Slam finalist Karolína Muchová, Olympic gold medalist and former world No. 5 Andrey Rublev, and Alexander Bublik, the first Kazakhstani man to break into the world’s top 10. They face an Asia Team led by Paris 2024 Olympic mixed doubles silver medalists Wang Xinyu and Zhang Zhizhen, alongside rising star Bu Yunchaokete. Wang Xinyu also serves as the 2026 event ambassador.

Following a successful inaugural tournament in December 2025 that attracted more than 30,000 spectators and reached audiences across 46 countries, WTCC has secured a long-term home and unveiled plans to evolve beyond a traditional tennis competition into a broader sports, entertainment, and lifestyle platform.

The second edition marks a significant step up in scale, expanding from three days to five. A free public tennis carnival runs December 23-25, followed by two days of ticketed competition on December 26-27. Live music, a junior tournament, and player masterclasses and autograph sessions round out the program, with 150,000 to 200,000 visits expected across the tournament’s new home in Shenzhen.

As co-organizer, CSTS brings its global expertise in sports, entertainment, hospitality, and fan engagement to power WTCC’s next phase of growth. CSTS pairs WTCC’s innovative event format with its track record of delivering world-class experiences around premier international sports properties, including FIFA World Cup™, Formula 1®, and UEFA European Championship™. As a vital bridge between East and West, CSTS will connect WTCC with fans, brands, and partners worldwide.

Together, WTCC and CSTS will introduce a new event model that integrates elite tennis competition with premium hospitality, live entertainment, and immersive fan experiences. The expanded platform will feature VIP programs, exclusive hospitality offerings, player engagement experiences, travel packages for international fans, and curated lifestyle activations designed to attract both dedicated tennis audiences and a broader next-generation fan base.

"WTCC represents the kind of bold, forward-looking sports property that will help define the future of tennis in Asia," said Abel Zhao, Group CEO and Executive Director of CSTS. "We are proud to partner with WTCC at this exciting stage of its development. By combining our global capabilities in event operations, hospitality, and commercial development with WTCC’s innovative vision, we believe we can create a truly distinctive international platform that resonates with fans, brands, and players worldwide."

More than a tournament, WTCC is positioning itself as a year-round platform for tennis, culture, and international exchange. Through its partnership with CSTS, the organization aims to build a globally relevant sports and entertainment property that showcases Asia’s growing influence on the global sports stage.
