JINCHANG, China, June 27, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Up to now, the total installed power generation capacity of Jinchang power grid has reached 7.3537 million kilowatts, including 1.7182 million kilowatts of thermal power, 76,000 kilowatts of hydropower and 5.5595 million kilowatts of new energy.

Located in the middle of the Hexi Corridor and adjacent to the Tengger Desert, Jinchang City in Gansu Province has vast Gobi deserts and abundant light resources, making it a main battlefield for solar energy development and construction in Gansu Province. Seizing the opportunities brought by the "dual-carbon" goals, State Grid Jinchang Power Supply Company has actively engaged in the construction of new energy bases with 10 million kilowatts of wind and photovoltaic power. To ensure the smooth progress of new energy projects, the company has set up a special working group for new energy grid-connection services, thoroughly sorted out the workflow for new energy project grid-connection, and built a one-stop grid-connection service system. By establishing new energy project management cards and forming visual charts, it provides personalized services for key links of projects to ensure that all new energy projects are connected to the grid as much as possible.

In the process of project promotion, the power supply company has taken the initiative to connect with new energy owners, dynamically tracking the progress of project construction with high frequency of daily follow-up and weekly updates. In response to challenges such as complex technical problems and tight construction schedules faced by new energy enterprises in grid-connection, the power supply company has innovated its service mode and carried out form-based service management with one station and one file. At new energy stations, staff have acted as "intimate housekeepers", taking the initiative to sort out grid-connection procedures, patiently answering enterprises’ questions, and making every effort to coordinate and solve various grid-connection problems.

The company has focused on building a safety management and control system for new energy grid-connection and operation, strengthened grid-related safety management, strictly managed energy storage dispatching, continuously improved the external transmission capacity of new energy, promoted the accelerated transformation of energy advantages into economic, industrial and development advantages, and helped Jinchang’s 10 million-kilowatt wind and photovoltaic power base construction reach a new height.
