TOKYO, July 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Nippon Express (Taiwan) Co., Ltd. (hereafter "NX Taiwan"), a group company of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC., held a scholarship award ceremony on Thursday, June 5 at National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU).

Founded in 1953, NTOU is a state-run university located in Keelung City that focuses on education in oceanography and fisheries-related fields in Taiwan.
With the aim of strengthening ties between industry and academia in Taiwan, NX Taiwan has been working with NTOU since 2018 to administer a scholarship program that promotes human capital development in the logistics industry. This year’s scholarships were awarded to six students who have conducted outstanding research and written theses on trends in international logistics and on the fusion of academics and practice using new technologies. At the award ceremony, Chairman Masaru Kawamoto offered the students warm words of encouragement: "We believe our scholarships will help these talented and hard-working students overcome the difficulties of learning and grow into outstanding personnel capable of supporting the logistics industry in the future. I sincerely hope that you will all play key roles in supporting not only the logistics industry but also society as a whole."
The NX Group will continue actively engaging in social contribution activities in the East Asia region to assist in developing human resources who can take on important parts within the logistics industry.
