Bangkok, June 18, 2024 – Thailand’s Tourism Office and U-Tapao Airport are welcoming new flights from SCAT Airlines originating from Almaty, and AirAsia originating from Kuala Lumpur. The focus is on attracting international tourists, with incentives on landing fees.

Strategic Initiatives and Incentives

TAT and U-Tapao Airport are integrating strategies to attract international flights from key markets, including India, Vietnam, China, Russia, and Kazakhstan. Airlines are offered incentives on landing and parking fees. The TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing emphasized the ‘Airline Focus’ strategy, mentioning a strategic partnership with Kazakhstan’s leading tour operator KOMPAS, and SCAT Airlines, resulting in a new charter service from Almaty.
