Young Thai leaders selected for Model APEC final after high‑level national simulation
BANGKOK, Sept. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — This year 30 outstanding delegates from Bangkok University, Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, Kasetsart University, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and others gathered at Bangkok University International for the Model APEC 2025 national conference to simulate the Asia‑Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum and debate policy solutions for the region. The conference concluded with the selection of six outstanding delegates who will represent Thailand at the Model APEC final in Beijing later this year.
Engaging the next generation
During the simulation at Bangkok University International, delegates assumed the roles of APEC economy representatives and negotiated on themes such as digital transformation, sustainable development, inclusive trade and empowering women in the workforce.
The event was organised by the Model APEC Thailand under Hotwave Media Thailand which is a leading company and incubate many youth oriented marketing projects with universities and enterprises together. This time Hotwave Media invited Yadea and UGREEN together to empower the regional youth to promote their participation and awareness of economic participation.
Competitive selection and international representation
After several rounds of discussion and drafting, judges shortlisted candidates based on policy analysis, collaboration, public speaking and leadership. At the close of the conference, six students were announced as the national delegation to the Model APEC final in Beijing and awarded with Yadea’s high technology E-bikes and UGREEN trending products. They will join counterparts to present Thailand’s proposals and continue honing their skills.
One of the selected delegates said the experience demonstrated the importance of working collaboratively. "I’ve learned that meaningful change comes from dialogue and mutual respect. The national conference has prepared us to be effective representatives of Thailand on the international stage" .
