UOB has signed an agreement with CHANGAN International Corporation, a subsidiary of China’s CHANGAN Automobile, to support the company’s international investment and development of electric vehicle businesses in Thailand and Southeast Asia. UOB will be the main operating bank for CHANGAN outside of China and will provide financial services to facilitate innovation and green development. UOB is committed to enhancing business cooperation in finance and trade and will assist CHANGAN with global credit services, wealth management, and green financial solutions. CHANGAN’s aim is to establish Thailand as a regional hub for electric vehicle expansion, and the company recently showcased two electric vehicle models at the Thailand Motor Expo 2023. CHANGAN has also begun construction on advanced electric vehicle production facilities in Rayong province. This partnership is an important step in CHANGAN’s international expansion and plans for future growth.
