The Thai cabinet recently approved a new incentive for foreign film productions, offering cash rebates ranging from 15% to 30% with no upper refund limit, effective January 1, 2025.

Foreign film productions investing at least 20 million baht, or about US$1.47 million, in Thailand will receive a 15% primary rebate and an additional rebate of up to 15%. For investments of at least 100 million baht, or about US$2.94 million, the primary rebate increases to 20% with an additional rebate of up to 10%.

 
This cash rebate program aims to attract high-budget foreign film productions to Thailand, enhancing the nation’s competitiveness in the international film industry.
