At the Arabian Travel Market 2025, the Tourism Authority of Thailand marked its 25th anniversary, showcasing Thailand’s diverse attractions and enhancing partnerships with major Middle Eastern travel agencies.
TAT’s 25th Anniversary at ATM
Dubai, 29 April 2025 – Celebrating 25 years at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) unveiled its “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025” campaign. The Thai Pavilion acted as a hub for business and cultural exchange, promoting partnerships with Emirates, Etihad, and dnata Travel. TAT Governor, Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, emphasized the significance of the Middle Eastern market and Thailand’s diverse offerings in wellness, cultural heritage, and sports tourism.
Thai Pavilion and Cultural Showcase
Located in Hall 7, the Thai Pavilion, designed under “Thailand’s Charm,” hosts 55 tourism operators, demonstrating Thailand’s rich culture, from luxury wellness to eco-experiences. Cultural demonstrations included hand-painted umbrella displays and traditional performances like the Nora dance. The opening day featured a Memorandum of Cooperation with Emirates and Etihad, strengthening regional ties, alongside the launch of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card to ease travel.
Strategic Initiatives and Targeted Experiences
Focusing on expanding tourism, TAT introduced five strategic pillars to bolster Thailand’s appeal, with initiatives enhancing visitor experiences. Wellness retreats and family-friendly activities cater to various market segments, while urban shopping and cultural districts attract younger tourists. With 162,790 Middle Eastern visitors already in 2025, TAT aims for 1.1 million arrivals by year-end, highlighting Thailand’s alluring destinations and vibrant cultural scene.
