Thai Bank and Thai Bank Association have announced that they investigated a case of a customer complaining that their data was stolen and money withdrawn from the bank account using a forged charging wire. They found out that the customer was deceived into installing fake mobile applications containing malware by scammers. To prevent such cases, the Thai Bank has implemented various measures such as improving security features in mobile banking, blocking bogus websites, updating mobile banking apps, and promoting awareness among customers through online channels. The bank also urged customers not to trust links from unrecognized sources, not to download unverified apps, and always use secure devices to conduct financial transactions.
