Metallic violet and deep black options address diverse consumer tastes, produced domestically using the company’s in-house sputtering process
SEOUL, South Korea, Oct. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Window film manufacturer NEXFIL is entering the domestic market with its premium automotive films, MAJESTIC and MASTERPIECE. Backed by its own production facilities and multilayer sputtering technology, the company aims to meet consumer demand for products that balance heat rejection performance with design.
NEXFIL introduced the two products to the domestic market in September. MAJESTIC is a full-metal film in metallic violet, while MASTERPIECE is a high-end film in deep black. The company says the two products, each with a distinct look, widen the range of choices available to consumers according to vehicle style and personal taste.
MAJESTIC is the top-tier product in the lineup, featuring a structure in which multiple metal layers are stacked on the film. According to NEXFIL, it works by reflecting solar heat to reduce the heat entering the cabin. Its metallic violet color, which appears to change in depth depending on the light, adds a distinctive touch to a vehicle’s exterior. The company is targeting consumers who value the color and texture of the film itself as well as its heat rejection function.
MASTERPIECE focuses on delivering a calm, understated appearance in a rich deep black. Rather than emphasizing color, it is designed to blend naturally with a vehicle’s own lines. The company describes MASTERPIECE as a product that combines a clean appearance with high-end heat rejection and reflection performance.
Although both products belong to the same premium lineup, they take different design directions. NEXFIL offers MAJESTIC for those who want to make a statement with metallic color, and MASTERPIECE for those who prefer a natural black-toned look. With heat rejection performance as the baseline, the company has structured the lineup so that consumers can also choose according to the look and feel they want for their vehicle.
The new products are manufactured at the company’s own factory in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. Established in 2001, NEXFIL has researched and produced window film based on its corporate research institute and production facilities. The company carries out the entire process in-house, from base film processing and coating to sputtering and finished product manufacturing, supplying films for both architectural and automotive applications.
The company cites its multilayer sputtering process as its core technology. The process forms multiple metal layers on the film, which NEXFIL uses to produce heat-reflecting films. NEXFIL also produces wide-width sputtered film in Korea, which demands advanced process technology, and expanded its related production line in 2025 to increase capacity.
To explain heat rejection performance, the company discloses metrics such as infrared rejection rate (IRR) and total solar energy rejection (TSER). It also highlights visibility, patents, and high-efficiency energy equipment certification as competitive strengths of its technology and products. NEXFIL’s approach is to encourage consumers to review performance indicators alongside appearance when choosing a film.
Its overseas supply experience also underpins its premium business in Korea. According to NEXFIL, approximately 93% of its total output is exported to more than 60 countries worldwide. Drawing on its experience producing in Korea and supplying overseas, as well as its training of installation partners, the company plans to broaden its touchpoints with domestic consumers.
NEXFIL sees growing demand in the heat-rejection film market for products that consider both performance and appearance. Accordingly, the company will strengthen its premium lineup centered on MAJESTIC and MASTERPIECE while also expanding the availability of multilayer sputtered films. The company’s business direction is that products incorporating this technology should be accessible within the existing price range of each market.
"Sputtered film should not be a particularly expensive film, but a heat-rejection film that consumers can find within the existing price range of each market," NEXFIL said. "When better films that also block heat at the same price point become commonplace, customer satisfaction and market value will rise together."
