WEIHAI, China, Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — A news report from CRI Online:

In recent years, Weihai has capitalised on its proximity to Japan and South Korea by strengthening its logistics hub serving South Korea, improving consolidation warehouses used by cross-border e-commerce platforms, and integrating tourism consumption with cross-border shopping.

In the first half of the year, Weihai’s cross-border e-commerce imports and exports reached nearly RMB 6 billion, ranking fourth in Shandong province. The city now has more than 1,000 cross-border e-commerce businesses. Operations have expanded into major commercial districts and tourist destinations, including Hanlefang, Weigao Plaza and Jiulong City, bringing overseas duty-free shopping closer to residents and visitors.
