Pharmacists Sally Tadros and Cyndi Khawaja recognised at the 2026 Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards.

SYDNEY, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Sydney pharmacists and sisters Sally Tadros and Cyndi Khawaja have won the Manufacturing category at the 2026 Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards. The recognition validates their brand, Vitaceuticals, and its evolution from a single pharmacy solution into a fully Australian-made health range.

While running Sydney compounding pharmacies, Tadros and Khawaja saw women struggling with standard iron supplements due to nausea and stomach discomfort. Recognising a clear patient need, they compounded a gentle iron formula.

"We never set out to build a supplement company," said co-founder Sally Tadros. "We set out to fix one problem for the women standing in front of us because nobody else was fixing it."

Demand spread rapidly by word of mouth, prompting them to make it commercially available. Today, the national range covers sleep, energy, heart, weight, joint, and women’s health.

"Being pharmacists changes how you build a product," said co-founder Cyndi Khawaja. "We aren’t chasing the ingredient of the month. We ask what the evidence says, because we still think of the person taking it as our patient."

Despite rapid growth, production remains onshore. Every product is developed by pharmacists and manufactured in Australia to strict pharmaceutical GMP standards.

"This award belongs to our team, families, pharmacy community and every customer who trusted us," Tadros added. "We are proud a product made for a handful of Sydney women is now made here for the whole country."

The story in numbers

  • 100,000+ bottles of the original iron formula produced annually.
  • 1 million+ products sold yearly to hundreds of thousands of Australians.
  • 100% Australian manufactured to GMP standards.
