This strategic partnership focuses on youth development, community engagement, and health awareness, reinforcing VISTA’s purpose-driven mission to improve lives through sight and opportunity. [ ![VISTA and Destiny Partner to Advance Eye Care in Athletics](https://mma.prnasia.com/media2/2645398/VISTA_x_DESTINY.jpg?p=medium600 "VISTA and Destiny Partner to Advance Eye Care in Athletics") ](https://mma.prnasia.com/media2/2645398/VISTA_x_DESTINY.html) VISTA and Destiny Partner to Advance Eye Care in Athletics Through this initiative, VISTA Eye Specialist will support grassroots football programs, ensuring underprivileged youth have access to professional training, essential equipment, and travel opportunities for competitions locally and internationally. By investing in the next generation, VISTA continues to uphold its Ikigai-driven purpose, making a meaningful impact beyond eye care. A Clear Vision for the Future: Merging Sports and Eye Health As part of the partnership, VISTA will not only provide financial support but also integrate vision health awareness into Destiny FDC’s programs. This includes: Educational sessions on kids’ myopia, eye health, and the importance of clear vision in sports performance. Free vision screenings for Destiny FDC players and coaches. Community outreach programs to spread awareness about vision care in youth sports. Advocacy for outdoor physical activities to reduce the risk of kids’ myopia progression. With the rising prevalence of myopia (nearsightedness) among children, VISTA is using this initiative to promote outdoor activities as a natural way to slow myopia progression. Research shows that increased exposure to natural light and reduced screen time can significantly lower the risk of childhood myopia worsening. By encouraging children to engage in football and other outdoor sports, VISTA hopes to play an active role in preserving vision health for the younger generation. Empowering Communities Through Purpose-Driven Partnerships "This partnership goes beyond sponsorship; it embodies our Ikigai philosophy—finding purpose and meaning by making a difference," said Boon Siong Lim, Founder and Director of VISTA Eye Specialist. "At VISTA, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to live life to the fullest—with clear vision and the freedom to pursue their passions. Through this collaboration with Destiny FDC, we are nurturing young football talent and ensuring that these children can see a brighter future, both on and off the field." Since its founding in 2018, Destiny FDC has been a catalyst for youth football development in Malaysia. It provides a structured pathway for young athletes to reach professional leagues, including Germany’s Bundesliga, in partnership with Schachter Sports of Germany. The academy also extends its programs to refugees, orphans, and children from low-income families, offering them access to professional-level training and education. "We are thrilled to welcome VISTA Eye Specialist as a key partner," said Aylwin Skelchy, Managing Director of Destiny FDC. "Their support allows us to expand our grassroots initiatives, provide better training conditions, and offer holistic development for young athletes. This collaboration is a game-changer for our players, and we are excited about the opportunities ahead." Driving Awareness Through Social Engagement & Community Involvement To maximize the impact of this sponsorship, VISTA and Destiny FDC will launch the #SeeTheVision campaign, encouraging the public to engage by: Sharing User-Generated Content (UGC) & Ikigai Stories featuring Destiny FDC players wearing VISTA-sponsored jerseys. Participating in community football clinics, where players and their families can receive free eye screenings. Following Destiny FDC’s journey on social media as they compete in local and international tournaments. Raising awareness about the importance of outdoor sports in reducing kids’ myopia progression. The partnership aligns with VISTA’s 2025 ESG goals, reinforcing its dedication to community development, health awareness, and sustainable youth initiatives.
