Tiger Brokers recognised by Securities Investors Association of Singapore as Best Retail Broker at SIAS Investors Choice Awards 202

The SIAS Investors’ Choice Awards recognise companies, brokerages and individuals in Singapore that uphold high standards of governance, transparency and service to the investing community. The Best Retail Broker Award honours the brokerage that best serves retail investors in Singapore.

The recognition comes as Singapore places greater focus on retail participation in its capital markets. Measures from the MAS-led Equities Market Review Group, which released its final report in November 2025, include steps to widen access for retail investors, such as SGX’s plan to reduce board lot sizes from 100 to 10 units for securities priced above S$10.

Retail investors in Singapore have also been increasingly active on Tiger Brokers’ investment platform. In the second quarter of 2026, total trading volume in Singapore rose 92% year-on-year and orders rose 46%, while active trading accounts grew for a tenth consecutive quarter. These milestones reflect the growing demand for accessible investing among retail investors in Singapore.

How the Best Retail Broker in Singapore award is decided

SIAS, in collaboration with Singapore Management University (SMU), has developed a set of criteria to evaluate brokerage firms in Singapore. Through qualitative research, SMU assesses brokers across product offerings, disclosure and security, technology, investor education, customer service and recognition. Retail investors also take part in the Retail Brokerage Survey, which gauges the quality of, and satisfaction with, brokerage services available in Singapore.

Where Tiger Brokers Singapore stood out

Across the award criteria, Tiger Brokers Singapore’s platform reflects its commitment to accessible investing and financial inclusion for retail investors in Singapore:

  • Product offerings: Tiger Brokers Singapore’s product offerings are designed to lower the barriers to investing. In the second quarter of 2026, Tiger Brokers Singapore introduced one-step linking of CDP, SRS and CPF accounts. The Tiger BOSS Debit Card, launched in 2024 as Singapore’s first debit card to reward spending with fractional shares, also continued to gain traction, with card spending up 37% year-on-year and total cardholders up 22% in the second quarter of 2026.
  • Disclosure and security: Tiger Brokers Singapore holds a Capital Markets Services (CMS) Licence from the MAS and is the Singapore entity of UP Fintech Holding Limited (NASDAQ: TIGR).
  • Technology: TigerAI, Tiger Brokers’ built-in AI investment assistant, combines generative AI models from OpenAI and DeepSeek with Tiger’s proprietary financial data, live data feeds and trading infrastructure. As of end-March 2026, TigerAI had surpassed 10 million cumulative interactions globally, with conversation volume growing nearly 500% year-on-year and its user base growing 148% over the same period.
  • Investor education: Tiger Brokers Singapore supports financial literacy through large-scale events, regular learning programmes and community outreach. These include the Tiger Trade Experience, its flagship investing carnival, which drew around 4,000 local users in 2025, and regular seminars and webinars for investors of all experience levels. Its "Where’s Your Next Step?" campaign also takes investor education offline, partnering run clubs and wellness communities to draw a parallel between sport and investing. These sessions create relaxed, social entry points for younger and first-time investors, introducing financial concepts in a familiar setting before participants explore investing in more depth. The initiative supports broader retail participation and financial literacy by meeting new investors where they already are.
  • Customer service: Eligible clients have access to Tiger Investment Representatives, MAS-licensed professionals appointed by Tiger Brokers Singapore, who provide market guidance and product-related support to help investors navigate markets, understand investment products and use the Tiger Trade platform more effectively.

Leong said, "Being named Best Retail Broker in Singapore by SIAS is especially meaningful to us, because the award reflects the voices of retail investors themselves. Our mission has always been to make investing accessible to everyone, whether they are just starting out or have been investing for years. We will continue to build the best investment platform we can for retail investors in Singapore, while investing in financial literacy and community initiatives to advance financial inclusion and help more Singaporeans grow their wealth with confidence."

A year of recognition

The award follows Tiger Brokers’ recent recognition as one of CNBC and Statista’s World’s Top Fintech Companies of 2026, the second consecutive year it has been named to the list. The ranking recognises fintech companies worldwide for their growth and innovation, and Tiger Brokers was cited for its technology-led approach, including the integration of its AI investment assistant, TigerAI, into users’ daily investing.

Tiger Brokers Singapore was also named Best Personal Investment Platform at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, which recognised a breakthrough year for the platform in Singapore and its growing appeal among self-directed investors. In addition, Tech in Asia recognised Tiger Brokers Singapore as Singapore’s Top Fintech Company in the Wealth Technology category for two consecutive years, in 2025 and 2026.

Together with its recognition as Best Retail Broker in Singapore, these accolades reflect Tiger Brokers Singapore’s focus on building an accessible investment platform for retail investors in Singapore.
