SINGAPORE, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Socomec, a specialist in safety switching, source switching, electrical measurement and energy performance, announces the launch of the new ATyS P700 and ATyS P1000 – intelligent automatic transfer switching equipment engineered to maximise power availability in critical installations.
As electrical infrastructure for critical applications becomes increasingly complex, operators need transfer switching solutions that are easier to integrate, safer to operate and able to provide actionable information throughout the lifetime of the installation.
Building on decades of expertise – and with more than four million transfer switching solutions installed worldwide – Socomec is taking source transfer a step further with its latest generation of ATyS.
Available from 800 to 4000 A, ATyS P700 and P1000 combine high-performance transfer switching with advanced control in a purpose-built, all-in-one design that simplifies integration and operation in critical installations.
ATyS P1000 takes this further with integrated measurement, advanced diagnostics and condition-based maintenance, as well as closed-transition versions for applications requiring the highest levels of power availability.
An all-in-one architecture designed to simplify and secure transfer
At the core of the new range is a fully integrated all-in-one design that combines transfer switching, source monitoring, power control and advanced controller functions within a single unit. This unique design reduces the need for external equipment, simplifies wiring and minimises the risk of integration errors.
Engineered as complete ATSE solutions, both ranges feature integrated source sensing, dual power supply and advanced control capabilities as standard, enabling faster commissioning and easier operation throughout the life of the installation.
Both ranges are PC-class ATSE, third-party certified according to IEC 60947-6-1. Their AC-33A switching capability supports the most demanding loads, including highly inductive ones. With a contact transfer time below 100 ms, short-circuit withstand capability up to 85 kA and making capacity up to 187 kA, they are engineered to maximise power availability while supporting effective coordination with upstream protection devices.
Designed for critical power applications
In data centres, healthcare facilities, critical buildings and industrial environments, even a brief interruption can jeopardise operations and essential services. ATyS P700 and P1000 have been designed for these demanding applications, combining high transfer performance, operational safety and advanced control capabilities to secure power availability.
ATyS P1000: bringing intelligence into transfer switching
With ATyS P1000, Socomec extends the role of the transfer switch beyond power transfer.
The solution integrates a class 0.5 electrical measurement device according to IEC 61557-12, embedded sensors, diagnostics and event recording capabilities directly within the ATSE, providing maintenance teams with enhanced visibility of equipment condition, transfer operations and source quality.
These insights enable earlier detection of abnormal conditions and support a move towards condition-based maintenance, helping maintenance teams focus interventions where they are needed most while reducing unplanned downtime.
For applications where interruption during transfer must be avoided, ATyS P1000 is also available with the safest closed-transition switching. Using a built-in synchronisation check, the secondary source is connected before the primary source is disconnected, maintaining supply continuity to critical loads throughout the transfer sequence. Should the required synchronisation conditions not be met, the device automatically performs an open transition transfer to ensure safe operation.
Designed for simpler operation throughout its lifetime
ATyS P700 and P1000 have been developed to simplify day-to-day operation as well as long-term maintenance.
An intuitive configuration wizard enables essential parameters to be set in less than 30 seconds, while a colour touchscreen interface and Socomec’s Easy Config and Webview software provide straightforward access to settings, diagnostics and event history.
"With ATyS P700 and P1000, our ambition was not simply to improve transfer performance, but to rethink the ATSE as a whole. This new generation combines high switching performance, advanced control and an integrated layout designed to make installation and operation simpler. With ATyS P1000, we take this further by integrating measurement, diagnostics and condition-based maintenance directly into the ATSE."
