TOKYO, July 5, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — The Northeast China Branch of Nippon Express (China) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "NX China"), a group company of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC., conducted a cleanup effort in Dalian, northeastern China, on Saturday, June 15.

The NX Group is actively striving to realize sustainable societies by protecting the global environment and to improve employee engagement. Forty-eight employees participated in this latest cleanup effort, conducted in the Tongniu Ridge Scenic Area (Jinzhou District, Dalian City) with the aim of raising environmental awareness among more employees by having them personally join in an environmental protection activity and providing them mental refreshment through physical exercise.
The participants were divided into five groups and worked in teams to collect a total of 32.8 kg of trash that included plastic bags, plastic bottles, and cigarette butts. Comments from the employees taking part showed that they enjoyed the event and the sense of teamwork it fostered, and that they were determined to remember the importance of environmental protection and take further practical steps in that direction. Northeast China Branch General Manager Yu Cheng declared, "We will continue eagerly engaging in sustainable activities to help create a healthy and beautiful social environment for all of our employees."
Recognizing its social and public missions as a logistics company, the NX Group will continue organizing community-based social contribution activities while enthusiastically communicating with local communities.
