Signed by Vincent Wen, Managing Director of Novva, and H.E. Nomin Chinbat, Minister of MDDIC, and witnessed by H.E. N. Uchral, Prime Minister of Mongolia, among other senior Mongolian government representatives.

The MOU was signed at the Host Country House during "Sovereign by Design — Mongolia’s Green AI Data Centre Initiative", convened on 25 August by the Government of Mongolia at UNCCD COP17. Opened by H.E. N. Uchral, Prime Minister of Mongolia, and joined by H.E. T. Dorjkhand, Deputy Prime Minister, alongside the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and international partners, the initiative sets out Mongolia’s vision to become a leading green AI data centre hub among dryland economies.

Signed by Vincent Wen, Managing Director of Novva, and H.E. Nomin Chinbat, Minister of MDDIC, the MOU covers energy-efficient data centres and AI-ready infrastructure; renewable energy and storage, including solar PV, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS); site readiness; and policy consultation.

"Mongolia’s renewable potential and forward-looking digital agenda create a strong foundation for clean-powered infrastructure to support the next generation of AI workloads. Novva is honoured to support MDDIC’s Sovereign by Design vision," said Vincent.

The signing follows Novva’s "Building Mongolia’s AI Future" technical forum, held on 22 August 2026 during UNCCD COP17, which engaged Mongolian stakeholders on the country’s clean-powered digital infrastructure opportunity.

Novva’s Mongolia engagement expands its global footprint, which includes a 120 MWp solar project in the Philippines, a 37.8 MWac solar portfolio in Colombia, and an investment in battery innovator InoBat via Bromo Capital.
