GUANGZHOU, China, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — GAC has renewed its push in Kazakhstan with the GAC S7, a flagship hybrid SUV offered as a locally assembled model under its partnership with ALLUR Group. The launch gives GAC a more visible position in Central Asia at a time when Chinese automotive brands are expanding quickly across Kazakhstan and the wider CIS region.

The S7 is more than a single-model launch. It is part of GAC International’s move from a pure export model toward localized production, sales and service in Kazakhstan. GAC International and ALLUR Group signed a KD, or knocked-down, production cooperation agreement in Guangzhou in February 2026. GAC later announced the agreement publicly on April 16, 2026, describing Kazakhstan as a strategic market for Central Asia and the CIS.

GAC cited the rapid rise of Chinese brands in Kazakhstan, saying their market share increased from 3.8% in 2020 to 38.5% in 2025. ALLUR also brings local manufacturing scale to the partnership: GAC and GAC Kazakhstan describe ALLUR as a leading automotive manufacturing and distribution group in Kazakhstan, with annual production capacity of more than 125,000 vehicles.

GAC Kazakhstan says the S7 is the first model used for the brand’s official renewed entry into the local market and that it is assembled in Kazakhstan at ALLUR’s Kostanay facility. The companies have also said the partnership is intended to cover a wider GAC lineup, including internal combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles.

GAC and ALLUR used a media driving program near the Kapchagay Reservoir area for launch activities, with prepared routes designed to demonstrate all-wheel-drive behavior, suspension control and comfort on paved and uneven surfaces. Local media coverage also described the presentation around the Almaty region and Konaev area.

A more accurate conclusion is that the S7 marks a concrete local-production milestone for GAC in Kazakhstan and gives ALLUR a new hybrid SUV entry in the country’s fast-changing automotive market.
