Datasea plans to combine its AI agent and digital platform capabilities with its partner’s robotics technologies and elderly care deployment experience to develop intelligent care solutions for China’s rapidly growing silver economy
BEIJING, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Datasea Intelligent Technology Ltd. (NASDAQ: DTSS) ("Datasea" or the "Company"), a technology company focused on acoustic high-tech and AI multimodal agent digital solutions, today announced that the Company’s related Chinese operating entity plans to further expand its strategic cooperation with Nanjing Linghang Intelligent Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. ("Linghang Intelligent") to jointly develop AI-powered elderly care robot solutions and related digital service platforms.
The expanded cooperation marks Datasea’s entry into the rapidly growing AI elderly care robotics sector and represents an important step in the Company’s strategy to participate in China’s trillion-RMB silver economy.
Under the proposed cooperation, Datasea plans to contribute its AI agent, multimodal data processing, digital platform, software development and data analytics capabilities, effectively providing the intelligent "brain" and digital service layer for elderly care robots. Linghang Intelligent is expected to contribute robot hardware, mechanical systems, motion control, sensor integration, manufacturing, system integration and scenario-based deployment capabilities.
By combining these complementary capabilities, the parties intend to jointly develop AI elderly care robot solutions for a broad range of applications, including home-based elderly care, community elderly care, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, healthcare institutions and other senior care environments.
Building AI-Powered Elderly Care Robots for China’s Aging Population
China’s rapidly aging population is creating significant demand for more efficient, intelligent and scalable elderly care services.
According to China’s National Bureau of Statistics, as of the end of 2025, China had approximately 323.38 million people aged 60 and above, representing approximately 23.0% of the country’s total population. The population aged 65 and above reached approximately 223.65 million.
At the same time, China’s silver economy has become an increasingly important part of the country’s consumer and healthcare economy. According to information released by the State Council, China’s silver economy is currently estimated at approximately RMB7 trillion and is expected to reach approximately RMB30 trillion by 2035.
Datasea believes this demographic transformation is creating substantial long-term opportunities for AI-enabled elderly care, intelligent robotics, healthcare services and digital senior care platforms.
Traditional elderly care robots have primarily focused on functions such as mobility, reminders, basic interaction, calling and companionship. Datasea believes the next generation of elderly care robots will increasingly evolve into AI-powered service terminals capable of understanding users, continuously interacting with them, collecting and analyzing data, identifying behavioral patterns, executing service workflows and coordinating elderly care services.
Through the cooperation with Linghang Intelligent, Datasea plans to participate in this transition from traditional robot hardware toward AI-powered intelligent care systems.
Combining AI "Brain" with Robot Hardware
The proposed cooperation is designed around a complementary model in which Datasea provides the AI and digital intelligence layer while Linghang Intelligent provides the physical robotics platform and deployment capabilities.
Datasea plans to focus on AI agent task execution, multimodal interaction, data collection and analytics, user interaction systems, software platforms, data management and continuous system optimization.
Linghang Intelligent plans to focus on robot hardware, mechanical structure, motion control, sensor integration, terminal manufacturing, system integration and deployment across elderly care and healthcare environments.
The parties plan to jointly advance product definition, system development, hardware and software integration, scenario testing and commercialization validation.
Datasea believes this model could enable elderly care robots to move beyond standalone hardware products and become intelligent service platforms capable of providing continuous AI-enabled services to elderly users, families, communities and healthcare institutions.
Datasea’s Chief Executive Officer, Zhixin Liu, commented:
"China’s aging population is creating a fundamental transformation in the way elderly care services will be delivered. We believe AI and robotics can play an increasingly important role in addressing the growing demand for intelligent, scalable and personalized elderly care services.
Through our cooperation with Linghang Intelligent, we intend to combine Datasea’s AI agent and digital platform capabilities with our partner’s robotics technologies and deployment experience. Our goal is not simply to develop another robot hardware product, but to explore an AI-powered elderly care platform that can continuously interact with users, collect and analyze data, execute service tasks and connect elderly users with broader care and healthcare resources.
We believe this cooperation provides Datasea with an important opportunity to enter China’s rapidly expanding silver economy and establish a foundation for the Company’s future development in AI-powered elderly care and healthcare services."
From AI Care Robots to a Digital Elderly Care Service Platform
Datasea believes the long-term commercial opportunity extends beyond the sale of robot hardware.
As AI elderly care robots are deployed into homes, communities, nursing centers and healthcare institutions, they may become important intelligent terminals connecting elderly users with digital care services.
Potential services may include daily interaction and companionship, intelligent reminders, behavioral monitoring, data collection and analytics, abnormality alerts, service coordination, personalized AI assistance and other elderly care-related functions.
This could create opportunities for business models combining robot deployment with software subscriptions, AI agent services, data analytics, institutional services and other recurring digital services.
Accordingly, Datasea views the cooperation not only as an entry into the elderly care robotics market, but also as an opportunity to establish a broader AI-powered digital service platform serving China’s silver economy.
The Company plans to work with Linghang Intelligent to progressively explore product development, pilot deployment, commercial validation and scalable application opportunities across home-based elderly care, community-based elderly care and institutional care scenarios.
China’s Silver Economy as a Long-Term Growth Opportunity
China’s aging population and the continued expansion of its elderly care infrastructure are expected to create sustained demand for technology-enabled care solutions.
The Company believes that AI, robotics and digital platforms may increasingly converge within the elderly care industry, creating new opportunities for intelligent devices, software services and recurring service-based business models.
With China’s silver economy expected to grow from approximately RMB7 trillion today to approximately RMB30 trillion by 2035, Datasea intends to position AI-powered elderly care as one of the potential application areas for the Company’s AI and digital platform capabilities.
Through its cooperation with Linghang Intelligent, Datasea plans to explore a scalable model combining AI intelligence + robotic terminals + digital platforms + elderly care services, with the objective of establishing a long-term presence in China’s rapidly growing silver economy.
