Bangkok, 5 July 2024 — The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is launching the “Amazing Beach Life Festival” in July and August across Rayong, Phang-Nga, Phuket, and Songkhla. Aimed at boosting tourism during Thailand’s green season, the festival aligns with the government’s “Ignite Tourism Thailand” vision to establish Thailand as a global tourism hub. The initiative aims for a tourism revenue target of 3.5 trillion Baht this year.
Event Highlights and Goals
Dr. Phonpoom Vipattipumiprates, Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports, emphasizes the festival’s role in promoting world-class events. The festival includes water sports, music concerts, DJ performances, beach party tattoos, and DIY workshops. The purpose is to stimulate travel among both foreign and Thai tourists, spreading tourism benefits to local communities during the off-season.
Sustainable Tourism and Community Benefits
The festival will be eco-friendly with installation arts and inflatable landmarks reflecting each venue’s unique character. TAT, in collaboration with Global Chemical (PTTGC), will focus on waste management, promoting responsible tourism.
