Today (December 9, 2023) Mr. Auttapol Rerkpiboon President & Chief Executive Officer, PTT Public Company Limited disclosed that PTT has been selected as a member of Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) 2023 in the World Index and Emerging Markets Index, for the 12th consecutive year, ranked as 1 of the top 5 industry leaders in Oil & Gas Upstream & Integrated (OGX) business. This international recognition signifies PTT’s pride and investor confidence in effective management in all dimensions.
According to PTT’s sustainability strategic direction in the “Sustainability Management Master Plan” with three ESG (environmental, social, and governance) dimensions, the company aims for business development toward a low-carbon society. In this regard, it increased investment proportion in Renewable Energy and EV Value Chain, making a splash in the food and pharmaceutical industry. Also, PTT entered a joint venture with both public and private sectors to support logistics business. It has then developed domestic and international transport connectivity, resulting in 2022 income of over 10 percent of 2021 revenue. Recently, PTT initiated a reforestation project to plant a 1 million rai of land to increase green spaces and achieve Net Zero Emissions by 2050. Specifically, PTT’s social dimension highlights “promote safe working environment and respecting human rights principles” by implementing key actions related to occupational health and safety, preparing employees for future business growth, creating shared value, including improving the quality of life for communities and society. Regarding the governance dimension, PTT adheres to corporate governance principles and business ethics, adapts to changes in business, and drives economic growth to become an important force empowering every life for the country’s prosperous future.
