The Asian Institute of Technology welcomed Dr. Christopher J. Elias, president of global development at the Gates Foundation, to discuss enhancing cooperation in global development and applied research. The discussions aimed to align AIT’s research capabilities with the Foundation’s priorities, which encompass climate resilience, digital public infrastructure, water and sanitation, health innovation, and agriculture. These areas are deemed increasingly critical for Thailand’s development agenda. The collaboration aims to leverage AIT’s expertise to address pressing global challenges and drive impactful research initiatives.
