Mr. Winaroj Trapsongsaeng, (วิณะโรจน์ ทรัพย์ส่งสุข) Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, welcomed Ms. Jiraporn Jirampaikul, (จิราพร จิรำไพกูล) Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Mr. Pongpradit Makjaeng, (พงศ์ปราชญ์ มากแจ้ง) Ambassador attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was attended by senior officials from key agencies, including the Royal Irrigation Department, Department of Agriculture, Department of Livestock Development, Department of Fisheries, Office of Agricultural Economics, and the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards.
The discussions aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two ministries in driving proactive foreign policy, particularly in the Middle East, which is considered a high-potential target market due to strong purchasing power and a growing focus on food security. The Ministry of Agriculture expressed readiness to work closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in exchanging information and coordinating operations to enhance agricultural cooperation and increase the value of Thai agricultural exports to the region.
